Analysing the brief
My First Post
In this first post, I decided it would be good to follow my own practice by first analysing the brief for this module. I found it beneficial to break down the brief into sections to fully understand the requirements of what is being asked of me to work towards.
I found it useful to annotate and make notes to share my thoughts and initial research into each question by pulling out words that were unfamiliar to me. After reading through the brief several times, I found myself pondering on the words "in your own practice", which is mentioned in all three questions to choose from.
So what is my practice? My practice is Graphic design which comes across as obvious as my MA focuses on this primarily. However, from what I have researched in the final year of my BA studies in Graphic design till now, is primally linked to a more visual identity approach in practice that supports the fundamentals in graphic design and typography such as form, layout and composition.
I feel drawn to question two: How can materiality enhance the user/audience experience, in my own practice?. This comes from identifying that as a designer, I am a visual person and use such materials to draw upon a specific topic through the understanding of my users and their overall experiences when viewing my work.
